Wandering the alleyways along the Venice canals with my boyfriend was a dream. Sure, Venice has it's drawbacks like huge crowds of tourists and high price tags, but it's still magical nonetheless. We had a ton of great food (as you can see from all my photos), the weather was beautiful, and we got to stay at the gorgeous Hotel Danieli. The views from their rooftop patio for brunch were seriously amazing and they make the best cappuccinos. We also had time to take a water taxi to the neighboring island of Burano which was very charming with it's many bright and pastel colored buildings. It had the same uniqueness of a canal city like Venice, except it felt more warm and had a local vibe to it. On our last night we also took a gondola ride just before dinner, starting at the Rialto Bridge and it is definitely something I would highly recommend when in Venice. Though the 80 Euro price tag may be steep, I just felt like not only is it one of those things you should do while in Venice, the viewpoint and perspective of the city is a memorable experience that you wouldn't get traversing just on foot. I highly recommend going just before sunset and starting at the Rialto bridge, you'll get incredible views and amazing photo-ops that are just unreal. Wishing I could be back there eating tiramisu 3x a day right about now! :)
